Cougar Town

I am so glad Cougar Town is back on and this week we get two!!  Courtney Cox and gang are so funny and original.  The show starts each week with a tongue and cheek laugh from the makers Cougar Town.  They have realized the the name is not fitting, actually pretty awful for such a great show.  Especially since now Courtney's character is dating someone her own age!  I love the dynamics of the different characters and the few regular walk-ons that spice up a scene. 

Courtney Cox is Jules Cobb and the mother of college student Travis Cobb (played by Dan Bryd).  Jules is much like Monica from Friends, kind of neurotic, and very protective.   She has a huge glass to drink wine from when she is in really bad shape.  (The prop guy says that this wine glass is actually a candle holder!) 

Bobby Cobb is played by Brian Van Holt.  He is Jules' ex-husband who lives on his boat (which is dry docked), he is an ex-golf pro who still drives around in his golf cart and he truly is a "man-child!"  Oh, yeah, he invented Penny Can!

Jules' neighbor and best friend is Ellie Torres played by Christa Miller.  For those of you who watched Scrubs, you will recognize her as Dr. Cox's crazy wife.  She is very much the same character, however, you saw her babies more in Scrubs than you do in Cougar Town.  Her husband Andy (Ian Gomez) doesn't ever have the baby either but you don't care because they are so funny anyways!

The last one in the group is Laurie Keller (played by Busy Philipps from Dawson's Creek).  She is a realtor that works with Jules.  She is the ditsy blond in the group and plays it really well.  Good one line from her throughout the show.

Watch and you will see why Courtney Cox has already been nominated for an Emmy and why the show has been picked up for its third season.

The Celebrity Apprentice

Good-bye to the craziest competitor that Celebrity Apprentice has ever seen!!  So long Gary Busey - NOBODY WILL MISS YOU!!

The next few weeks will be the best, they will be mixing the groups soon.  I wonder how long Star Jones will be around and who will really take her down.  I think John Rich is another big contender and will stay in the mix a while.  I can't wait to see who gets to have the $250,000 given to their charity, even though they have raised more than that in a single event already.  Things are getting interesting.
